Celtics Roll Over Raptors, 114-107
Rajon Rondo had a brilliant night, playing like he was back at home with a strong triple-double (22 points, 13 assists, 10 rebounds). Rondo was showing off his fundamental strength and All-Star potential today with his excellent play.
Rasheed Wallace helped keep the team in front all night, though. His 29 points and 8 rebounds was the best performance he’s had as a Celtic so far, and this afternoon Boston definitely needed it.
While all of the starters scored in the double-digits, showing off Boston’s versatility and depth, none of them scored more than twenty expect Rondo and Rasheed. Ray Allen, Kendrick Perkins, and Paul Pierce all had 16 points each. Eddie House was the only bench player to reach double digits with 11 points.
It was a strong win for the Celtics, who got their seventh straight victory over the Raptors. They had a balanced offense from their starters, which propelled them to this win and helped maintain their lead late in the game as the Raptors attempted a rally. Whenever the Raptors got it close, the Celtics went on another run, bringing the lead back up to double digits.
The Celtics next face the Atlanta Hawks (again) tomorrow night at home, 7:30PM.
