Rasheed Wallace out day-to-day, maybe a week
After Sheed scored 29 points against Toronto the other night and reminded everyone of Dirk Nowitzki (or at least Sam Perkins on a great day), would you have ever thought that he was injured?
It was the best he’s looked all season… by far. But Sheed did it on a sore left forefoot that could sideline him a week or so, according to WEEI’s Mike Petraglia. (A sore left forefoot? A simple foot wouldn’t have sufficed?)
The Celtics were without Rasheed Wallace for their game against Atlanta due to a sore left forefoot and could be without the big-man’s services for the next week, according to coach Doc Rivers.
“Looks like a week, maybe. It’s day-to-day but I would say maybe a week. Maybe less. It’s going to be day-to-day.” Rivers said, adding x-rays were negative on the player who was already filling in for another injured Celtic – Kevin Garnett.
Poor Rasheed had finally started to round himself into shape, and now this.
For anyone who has seen Avatar, the Celtics need to get themselves to the Tree of Souls… and quick. It’s time they started to heal.
