Celtics-Hawks Game Preview

Normally, I put a lot of thought and effort into my game previews. Today, however I’ve already missed class and work because I’m sick. Sickness can’t stop me from writing the preview, but it’s going to be a damn brief one. My apologies. Without further ado, three keys to tonight’s big game in Atlanta.

Keys to the Game

  • Bounce Back- Boston will be looking for revenge against the Hawks tonight, who are 3-0 this season against Boston. The Celtics will also be trying to bounce back from last night’s horrendous loss to the Orlando Magic. Tonight’s game will be a tough one, but I’m sure the Celtics are excited for the opportunity to put last night’s loss, and the three losses to Atlanta, behind them.
  • Kevin Garnett- Garnett looked AWFUL last night. I felt pain in my knee just watching him run up and down the court. On the last play of the game, he was blown by Rashard Lewis for an easy layup. Tonight’s game could show us the status of Garnett’s health: Is he too old and banged up to carry us to the promise land, or was he just rusty or poorly conditioned? I’m praying for the latter.
  • Rebounding- Boston has been getting destroyed on the offensive boards recently. To win tonight against Atlanta, they will have to reverse that trend against the athletic, energetic front court of the Hawks.
