Time for Boston to breathe a sigh of relief

Boston has been in near hysteria all day, wondering what the fate would be of Paul Pierce and his injured left foot. Rumors have run rampant, but we finally have some hard news, via the Boston Celtics twitter page:

Paul Pierce is listed as “day-to-day” after suffering a strained left mid-foot injury last night in Washington.

The Basketball Gods have finally taken some pity on the poor Boston Celtics and their fans. I don’t think we could have survived a Pierce broken foot. As it is, we have a big hill to climb, but we still have a solid chance at another NBA title.
