Marquis Daniels to return to practice tomorrow

Marquis Daniels told reporters he would return to practice tomorrow, according to the Celtics’ Twitter account.  Doc Rivers later told reporters Daniels’ return is targeted for next week’s game against New Orleans, but that he will not be rushed back.

Paul Pierce won’t play tonight

Paul Pierce, injured in a collision with Caron Butler in Monday night’s win, will miss tonight’s game.  Pierce, whose starting spot will be replaced by Tony Allen, will likely miss Friday’s game as well.

Doc Rivers said he was very relieved when news came back that Pierce was not as injured as originally thought.
