New Jersey, Pat Riley is not walking through that door. Red Auerbach is not walking through that door. Phil Jackson is not walking through that door. Neither is Gregg Popovich, or even Mike Brown.
But Rick Pitino might be. Reports have surfaced that the Louisville head coach has made it known that he is interested in the New Jersey Nets’ head coaching position.
Via the Boston Globe:
The New York Daily News reported Thursday that Pitino “reached out” to New Jersey Nets officials recently to make himself a candidate for their head coaching position, a job currently held by former NBA player Kiki Vandeweghe, who is the team’s GM as well as interim coach following the November dismissal of Lawrence Frank.
Hopefully, Karen Sypher isn’t walking through that door either. Zing.
Sorry, had to do it.
