Marquis Daniels possibly part of Nate Robinson trade?
Lots of info and misinformation out there regarding the potential Nate Robinson-to-Boston trade. I have been told there are many moving parts, with some of the principals mentioned as coming to New York including Marquis Daniels, Bill Walker, J.R. Giddens and possibly Eddie House. Robinson’s base-year compensation status is a complicating factor, but not insurmountable. If the Boston talks fail, Nate would accept only a trade to the L.A. Lakers (he has veto power).
Wow, that really changes things. That probably means the Celtics must be looking for a lot more in return than just Robinson.
Big update.

1) Please NO-do NOT trade Marquis/. He is one of a kind and brings too much to the table. There is no one on the Knicks..I repeat NO ONE on the Knicks worth Daniels. Not Harrington, not Lee-no one.
2) Thanks Jay for all your updates/rumors/snippets today-I was at work and your Tweets were great.

My pleasure. What else was I going to do all day… study? Please. I don't know where Marquis would fit in in a trade to New York. There would probably have to be a third team involved. That Eddie House has been told he will be traded and Daniels hasn't likely means we're safe, though.

Thanks for the update.. The only players in return for Quis I'd be okay with would be:
David Lee
Harrington
Galliniri
Fundamentally, If we can improve why not? But the Knicks area garbage heap w/ only about 5 players NBA worthy.

No way they give up Gallo. He's their most talented player and makes $3 mil a year. I think it would have to be a third team to have Daniels involved, but — as above — with House saying he'll be traded and Daniels not notified, looks like we'll still have 'Quisy tomorrow.

Trading Marquis would be an absolutely stupid thing to do. The guy took a major paycut to play with the Celtics. That wouldn’t be the right message to send to other potential future free agent signings.
