Stephon Marbury was named the MVP of the Chinese Basketball Association’s All-Star game. (NY Times)
More than just his scoring, it was his array of “no-look passes, alley-hoops and mid-court three-pointers” that won Marbury Most Valuable Player honors and rescued what had been “quite a dull game,” according to the Xinhua news agency.
“I didn’t expect anything before the game,” Marbury, who plays for the Shanxi CBA team, said. “I just wanted to have fun here. But I do think I made some impact on this game.”
Midcourt three-pointers, eh? Alley-hoops, too? It looks like Marbury has learned a few new tricks in China.
But the real question is: How much does vaseline cost over there?
