Rajon Rondo and his agent, Bill Duffy, have been playing phone tag with USA basketball about the team’s training camp this summer. Rondo would consider it an “honor” to represent his country, but is more focused on the task at hand — winning another ring. (Boston Globe)
When asked if he was interested in playing for Team USA, he said: “It does but right now I’m focused on trying to get a championship. It’s an honor to tryout for the team but right now I’m trying to worry about the Celtics, and I don’t want to think too far ahead. I want to take advantage of the opportunity we have as a team. Right now I’m not even thinking about it.”
I love the attitude. Everything else can wait, because the Celtics are hunting for another championship.
