Doc Rivers used Tiger Woods as an example when describing his Boston Celtics. And no, it had nothing to do with finishing with a 69. (ESPNBoston)
Rivers noted a conversation he had with a professional golfer (whom he wouldn’t name) about the difference between this year’s Celtics team and when Woods struggles on the links.
“[The golfer] said, ‘The difference right now with you guys is that, when Tiger used to play with his C game, he still won — he was still the best. When you guys play with your C game, you lose now,’” relayed Rivers. “‘Before you could win with your C game, now you can’t.’ That may be age, but understanding that, we’re not going to win anything playing [below Boston's potential].”
So the ‘C’ game doesn’t work, and the Washington loss showed that the ‘F’ game doesn’t work either.
Would even the ‘A’ game be enough in the playoffs?
