Garnett likely to play tomorrow

The Celtics will need KG in the playoffs.
Kevin Garnett is likely to play tomorrow night against Chicago, reports CSNNE’s A. Sherrod Blakely. “Doc Rivers said KG likely to go tomorrow,” Blakely said via Twitter. “TBD on whether Garnett will play in home finale vs. Milwaukee.”
Garnett missed Saturday’s game against Milwaukee after Doc Rivers thought Garnett looked tired against Washington the night before. “I thought he looked tired yesterday so I’m sitting him,” Rivers said at the time. “We need him, but we’re only going to go as far as he’s healthy and he’s rested.”
There has been no word yet about the status of Paul Pierce or Ray Allen. When Rivers announced that KG would sit the other day, he mentioned he might give Pierce and/or Allen rest, too.
While he wanted to rest those two, he felt it far less necessary than sitting Garnett. “I’m not as concerned honestly with them,” he said. “Ray has been playing terrific. In some ways you don’t want to screw that rhythm up. Paul has been so up and down that we need to get his rhythm back. But Kevin, it’s very, very important about getting his rest.”
I will have more information if anything else comes out, about either Garnett, Pierce or Allen.
