Lebron’s stinker
Then again, that is precisely why people are so disappointed in Lebron James today. He was born as God’s gift, as if God created a perfect player and plopped him onto the earth. But last night he squandered that gift. It wasn’t that he played poorly — anyone can have a bad game. It was that he didn’t seem to give a damn. It was the biggest game of his season, and he did nothing but go through the motions. He never once made the decision, “You know what, my team’s season is going down the drain. Why don’t I — merely the world’s best basketball player — do something about it?” That’s precisely what we expect out of people as gifted as Lebron. Everybody is upset with him because we only wish we had his talent. And if we did, we can all safely say we would never mail in a pivotal Game Five. Never.
