Marquis Daniels’ father tased by police during Game Two
Via Orlando Sentinel:
The father of Boston Celtic’s guard Marquis Daniels was Tased and arrested during Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals at Amway Arena late Tuesday.
Orlando police arrested Willie L. Buie, 55, and charged him with resisting arrest with violence.
Reports show officers responded to a disturbance in sections 106-107, the seating behind the basket. Officers tried to escort a man, later identified at Buie, from his seat around 10:55 p.m., but the man refused.
“I’m not going, (expletive) you,” Buie is accused of saying when officers tried to lead him from his seat.
It’s unclear what prompted officers to remove Buie from the arena.
When several other officers arrived to assist, Buie continue to resist and finally had to be taken down to the ground, a report shows.
Damn. Poor Marquis. First he injures his wrist, then he gets taken out of the rotation. Now, his dad gets tased during the middle of his game?
On top of all that, Daniels took a discount to play with the Celtics, figuring he would play his way to a bigger contract after this season. Now he’s playing the same minutes as Scal, Tony Gaffney and my mom while that contract goes POOF.

Back to Daniels’ father, I wouldn’t be surprised if Joe DeRosa ordered the tase-ing.
