Video: Marquis Daniels’ stepfather tased

Whenever something absurd happens, it’s 99.85% likely that TMZ will end up with footage of it.  So when Marquis Daniels’ father (Willie L. Buie) was tased, I figured it was only a matter of time until they had the footage of it.  Of course, they had it within a day.

I’m not going to pretend I can really make out what’s going on. After watching the video, I still have no idea whether it was Buie’s fault or he just ran into an over-zealous police force. But it kind of looks like they tased him while he was on the ground while three police officers were holding him down. Again, I’m not sure, mostly because the footage is only an inch-wide and watching it — more than anything else — simply made my head hurt. But if my eyes were correct and he really was tased while three police officers held  him, it begs the question, “Why?”

Again, I’m reaching.  I really have no idea what happened.  And Buie has served 11 years in jail for various crimes over the years, so it’s kind of tough to give him the benefit of the doubt.

They tased him cause he was resisting. Even though he’s on the ground, you can clearly see him struggling and flailing his arms has they tried to put his arms behind him and cuff him.

So yes, he’s on the ground, but he’s resisting arrest. And if you say “but he’s on the ground, that’s wrong!” you obviously have never tried to pin a 250 lb man’s arms behind his back while he’s hopped up on adrenaline (and who knows, maybe something else?) this is no small task.
