Rodney Rogers, stay strong my man

Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Rodney.
Former Boston Celtic Rodney Rogers has been paralyzed since November of 2008, when a dirt bike accident left him a quadriplegic. But, as Anna Katherine Clemmons writes on ESPN.com, Rogers still hasn’t given up hopes of someday walking again.
“I hope and pray that in the near future, I’ll get my arms back, and then hopefully my legs,” Rogers says. “If I had to walk with a cane or something, that’d be fine. I just want to be able to walk again.”
Clemmons continues her fine piece, discussing the fragilities of Rogers’ day-to-day life, the love his wife still has for him (“I am still so in love with Rodney,” his wife said. “I’ll never leave him.” She pauses, smiles and adds, “And he better not leave me.”), and the incredible willpower of the man Chris Webber calls “one of the strongest men I know.”
Go ahead and read the story. After you do, the Finals probably won’t seem so important.
