Kendrick Perkins: Torn MCL, PCL means he’ll miss Game 7

Damn, Perk. We'll miss you.
If the Celtics are going to win the NBA championship, they’ll have to do it without Kendrick Perkins. Perk suffered a torn MCL and PCL in the first quarter of last night’s game, when he came down awkwardly on his right knee.
Ray Allen said Perk’s absence will only be used as motivation for the Celtics during tomorrow night’s Game 7.
“[Perkins' injury is] going to put fuel to the fire,” said Allen. “I want to go out there and play harder just to try to get it for Kendrick, because Lord knows he wants to be out there. I hope he gets well soon. I love him like a brother. It’s real unfortunate. I’m sure he’ll be cheering us on in Game 7.”
“I love him like a brother.” God, I love these guys. Win one for Perk, boys.
P.S. – Torn MCL and PCL was more than I’d bargained for. Perk’s recovery could continue into the early parts of next season, reports A. Sherrod Blakely. Damn.

WOW, how unfortunate… Perk should’ve shoved Pau or Kobe on his way down so his 7th Tech would’ve been put to good use. The Beast will be missed. Get well soon, Perk.

I’ve been hearing that it’s a torn MCL and partially torn PCL. That isn’t nearly as bad as an ACL, which means he might not miss as much time next year as he could have. Of course, it doesn’t help up in game 7 though.

They’re going to seriously miss him in Game 7, especially if Bynum is anywhere near 100%
