Betty White tries to lure Lebron back to Cleveland
Everybody in Cleveland and their mothers are trying to get Lebron to stay at home next season and beyond. He’s had some pretty enticing requests. There was this, and this, and, well, this.
But the most intriguing stay-in-Cleveland offer yet? A little flirting from the young, sexy bombshell Betty White.
It seems White and Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves and Wendie Malick, the other three stars from the new TV Land sitcom, “Hot in Cleveland,” have taped a message designed to keep James from splitting town for some other NBA destination.
In the bit — a script of which was obtained by the Akron Beacon-Journal – Leeves and Malick claim not to know what sport James plays, with Leeves, who is British, wondering if the 6-foot-8 forward is a figure skater.
Finally, Bertinelli pleads, “LeBron, please stay,” to which White, who played a naive senior citizen in “The Golden Girls” and a provocateur on “The Mary Tyler Moore Show,” says, “I’ll make it worth your while.”
How could he possibly turn THAT down?
