Highlight Reel: Luke Harangody continues to impress
Luke Harangody and the Boston Celtics summer league team begin play tonight at 5 pm in Orlando. Harangody was the 52nd pick in this June’s NBA draft. He will be playing with Celtics Semih Erden, Oliver Lafayette, and Tony Gaffney, among others. For the full summer league roster click here.
Harangody has been particularly impressive in the practices leading up to the first game, according to Steve Bulpett of the Boston Herald.
“I thought Luke played great today,” said Austin Ainge, the D-League affiliate leader who’s running the C’s summer entry. “He really runs the floor well. With that kind of big body (a stocky 6-foot-8), you wouldn’t expect it, but he gets up and goes. He really runs the floor.
“And he’s got a knack for finding places to score. I guess when you score 25 points a game in college, there’s a reason for it.”

I don’t think he’ll get his shot blocked as much as Glen Davis did. He seems to have better footwork and a larger number of moves and counter-moves when playing at the rim, even if he can’t dunk

HAHAHA… “even if he can’t dunk.” We’ll know how well he’ll play against shot-blockers as soon as he plays one. I can remember Serge Ibaka tossing his shot last night.
