Eddie House, Celtics have had discussions

payday loans

Eddie House and the Celtics have had discussions about the free agent returning to Boston next season. (A. Sherrod Blakely)

You can add ex-Celtic Eddie House to the list of players the Celtics have had some discussions about signing this summer.

Intriguing. Eddie would have helped last season, and he’d help again next season. He’s 6’1,” slow, and can’t really dribble a basketball but Eddie can, and will always be able to, shoot the bejesus out of the basketball. Plus, I think I speak on behalf of Celtics fans everywhere when I say we love the guy.

Speaking of guys Celtics fans love, Ryan Gomes has signed with the Los Angeles Clippers. Sorry to ruin your wet dream of having Gomes return, C’s fans.

P.S. – Blakely also tweeted that Kwame Brown will probably be out of the C’s price range. Damn it! Kwame would have assured a championship!

    OUT OF THEIR PRICE RANGE?!!!

What does this guy think he’s worth?!

Wow! Now that’s the most pathetic thing I’ve heard so far in FA. LOL!

KWAME of all people thinks he’s worth more than what a team can offer! Kwame should be happy if someone offers him a dollar.

HAHAHA. If someone did give him a dollar, he’d probably drop it.

Eddie can’t play defense and that is why I’d rather have Nate. If we can have both then I can live with Eddie getting a spot because he can shoot. What’s going on with Fernandez or a wing??? Go Cs….

I don’t think we’ll be able to bring back Nate with a minimum contract now that we’ve given the whole MLE to O’Neal…

Same thing with Kwame, it’s not that he’ll refuse a minimum contract, but that other teams are likely to overpay him given how crazy the big men chase has gone, especially with Miami trying hard to get some for its Big Three + D Leaguers team

Bringing back Eddie + a scoring guard or forward that’ll come off the bench using Sheed’s contract is imo the best course of action available for Danny

What happens if ‘Sheed now changes his mind seeing the addition of JO and others and feels he can get another ring?

I doubt it, but if he does that the C’s have only veteran’s minimum contracts to work with.

If I was ‘Sheed I’d want my $13M so I’d go rest my back and do back exercises all season and be ready come the playoffs. He knows how to coast!

They say Sheed cares about a lot of things, but money is not one of them. (Neither is the regular season.)
