Rudy Fernandez prefers playing in Europe to the NBA

(Five foot nothing, a hundred nothing, without a speck of athletic ability… wait, wrong Rudy?)

If I’m not mistaken, Rudy Fernandez prefers a return to Europe to another year of NBA play. Why might I be mistaken? Because I was always miserable at Spanish, damn it! If you’re as bad as I am at it, don’t even bother trying to read the link. Here’s HoopsHype’s translation of a couple quotes: (El Mundo Deportivo)

“If I could reach an agreement with Portland, so that they would not trade me to another NBA team and they would accept my return to Europe, I’d be pleased.”

“My agents are looking for the best trade for me, but at the end of the day only Portland can decide.”

And the title of the story, which happens to be in Spanish? “Rudy prefiere Europa a la NBA,” which, if I’m not mistaken, is Spanish for “Rudy Fernandez probably isn’t coming to the Celtics because he prefers Europe to the NBA.”

Write DA another letter and tell him to use next year’s #1 pick. Close the deal.

I don’t know. I might have to save my persuasive powers for something I feel more strongly about.

You see. He is whiny and not competitive. He’s running away from competition because they didn’t treat him like a king. Let him go.

Any idea what blaZers are holding out for? Don’t they have Roy + Wes Matthews at same position now?

We also already have the other Rudy you’re talking about = Luke all heart, maybe too little athletic ability ;)
