Derrick Rose wants T-Mac: Should the Celtics too?
(If I were a T-Mac fan, I would consider making love to this YouTube clip.)
Derrick Rose thinks T-Mac would help the Bulls next season. (ESPN Chicago)
“That would be good,” Rose said Friday after Team USA’s final day of practice at Cox Pavilion. “I think that if he comes along, he could help our team.
“A player like him, with his experience and how he plays, I think it would help us.”
“He’s good,” Rose said. “He’s a player. If he just gives us half of what he’s got, we’ll be all right.
“But I know a player like him, he’s going to go out there and give us his all, but he’ll definitely help us if we get him on the team.”
But I could care less if T-Mac could help the Bulls. I’m worried about the Celtics right now. Eff other teams. Should the C’s give T-Mac a look? Could he help them out? As of now, the Celtics aren’t among the four teams T-Mac lists as his suitors.
Personally, I think T-Mac’s all washed up. But even if he is, he’s still a 6’8″ two-guard who has always been monstrously skilled. And he’s only 31. Is he worth taking a flier?

He wants more than the minimum, which is why the Celtics aren’t on his list. That’s all they can offer.
So no, he’s not worth it.

Not necessarily. The Heat are on his list, and so are the Lakers. Neither team can offer more than the minimum.

If he can play and actually contribute then it would be great. Give him the vet min. Another very motivated player and if he’s healthy again he could be a real steal. Go Cs…

Is T-Mac really that motivated though? One would think he should be, but one might also be overestimating his heart.

That’s what training camp is for. Make him earn a roster spot. If he’s motivated and healthy then he’ll certainly be a welcomed addition. He does want a ring doesn’t he?

T-Mac might accept a minimum contract. There’s no way he accepts a non-guaranteed one. If he gets signed, he’ll have a roster spot. I assume he wants a ring, but he’s never exactly been the biggest winner.

Can’t win on crappy teams or teams with significant injuries. Just ask PP. I mis-spoke about earning a roster spot, as you are right.

He didn’t have crappy teams, though. He’s had some pretty decent teams, but has never gotten out of the first round. He finally did get out of the first round in ’08-’09. Problem is, his team did it while he was injured.

YES!!! If he can stay healthy and try to be the best bench guy in the NBA it could work.

The best bench guy in the NBA? Jesus, I’d just want him to be serviceable.

Ppl go it confused, tmac has never bn selfish, he has always bn a good passer and great scorer, name a great teammate he has played with, please don’t say Yao . Houston did him wrong, but u c they still riding for Yao, Tracy has played on some pretty bad teams and not once have u heard him demand a trade, ie, Kobe cp3, and belive when Tracy was n his prime he was killing ppl, at 31, and recovering, I think he damn sure has more juice left and would b way better than say, penny when he came bak, for all u hatin, watch when he come bak next year avgering, 15-18 per game and the bulls will b contenders…..biatch

He’d be better than Penny. Then again, so would I. But 15-18? On a good team? Child please.

Bulls are contenders without him. He might be ok, but I still wouldn’t pay him more than the vet min.

I wouldn’t either. Not that the Celtics could or anything.
