RIP, Reggie Lewis

Reggie Lewis
17 years ago today, Reggie Lewis passed away from sudden cardiac arrest at Brandeis Univerisy during a Boston Celtics offseason practice. Lewis played his college ball at local Northeastern Univeristy and had quickly become a fan-favorite and the captain of the Celtics in just six short seasons in the NBA. He was a quiet, humble man and the new face of the Boston Celtics franchise.
Unfortunately, as I am only 21 years old, I remember very little about Reggie Lewis. I remember he was a Celtics star and I remember the sadness following his death, but little more. Luckily, Jeff Twiss wrote a touching article commemorating the death of Lewis a decade after he passed away.
You can read the article here, and I suggest that you do. It’s a great article, which helps the memory of Reggie Lewis live on.
