After Isiah: Five more hirings the Knicks should make

Browne Sanders and Isiah Thomas working together again?
Anucha Browne Sanders, Head Coach-
Sanders already knows the ins and outs of the Knicks organization and became pretty close with a few players during her time there. And I’m sure she would enjoy the opportunity to work with Isiah again. After all, the last time she did so she walked away with $12 million in her pocket. If that isn’t worth being called a bitch and subsequently being fired, I don’t know what is.
Antoine Walker, Financial Advisor – Any time you can blow more than $100 million in career earnings, you are undoubtedly spending money the Knick way. Still, Antoine is going to have to step his money-spending game up in order to be a perfect fit in New York. Like Isiah has done so well over the years, Antoine has to learn how to waste other people’s money, rather than his own.
Stephon Marbury, Director of Player Development – Yeah, I know that Steph’s first stint in New York didn’t go quite as planned. But he already has a working relationship future coach Brown Sanders and, like Isiah, knows how to treat club employees with the utmost respect and class. Plus, the Knicks clearly believe in the value of unfinished business.
David Kahn, GM – Kahn is running the Timberwolves into the ground, so I know he’s already on the short list of candidates for the Knicks opening when Donnie Walsh steps down. But, you ask, why would Kahn want to leave Minnesota, where he is making himself quite the reputation? Because running an organization into the ground in Minnesota is fun, but doing the same in New York is simply special. Plus, Kahn would certainly love the opportunity to bounce some ideas off Isiah — for a GM who aspires to destroy franchises and overpay for mediocre (at best) talent, there’s nobody better to work with. I can imagine the two already, sitting at a computer using John Hollinger’s trade machine as Kahn says: “Aha! Beat that, Isiah! That trade just netted negative 67 wins!”
Eddy Curry, Backup Center – I know, I know, the Knicks already have Curry. But he’s only got one year left on his contract. It’s about time they signed him to an extension, no?

That as really funny … in a tragic sort of way.

Thank you. And I’m glad Donnie Walsh is so happy with the Isiah signing.
