What do you think about the site changes?

Not to be Captain Obvious or anything, but we’ve decided to switch our website to a more traditional blog format. We think it will encourage people to read more of our articles and allow us to more quickly post breaking news.

We loved the old look and thought it looked very professional, but we think a traditional blog format will allow us to do some things we haven’t been able to do. Let us know what you think. Obviously, the switch is designed to help us help you, so we’d love to hear some feedback.

And thanks again for reading, and for commenting. We love all you Townies.

I liked the other better because it felt less like a blog and more like a news website, it had a very professional and polished look while this one is same old like every other blog. I understand why you did it to sort of get people to read all of the articles, and that was a problem with the old site but i think you should have tried a solution with the old design. The sliding article window (whatever that was called) was really cool.

This in no way will stop me from coming here for celtics news daily however. I would read about the celtics even if it was written on a cardboard box underneath a freeway.

I loved the old look too, everything about it. I just thought this would be better to get people to read everything rather than just a couple pieces.

I really like the new look Jay. Honestly less is often more and I think this will work very well for you and your readers.

And your new banner is tight. Definitely like it. In fact, we’re kind of in an in between stage with our own banner and I’m hoping to have something solid within a couple weeks. If you have some free time feel free to take a stab at it.

But like I said off the bat I think the new look works great. It helps people get right into the posts. Just my 2 cents.
