Paul Pierce said his Celtics career will likely be over after his current four-year contract expires. Why will it be over? Because he wants to play overseas in either Greece or Italy. Obviously.
“As far as returning from the NBA,” Pierce said, “I think I will be done after this contract. Because eventually I want to go overseas and play there for a couple years. That’s why this was a big contract for me, knowing that I’m going to retire a Boston Celtic.”
When asked where he wants to play, Pierce responded, “I want to go to either Italy or Greece for a year.”
