Leon Powe feeling good

Cue the fans: “We should have kept Leon!” Which might be true…

But I’m pretty content with a frontcourt of Perk, Shaq, JO, KG and Big Baby.

Worst DA move ever. We should have kept LP and if we had I’m pretty sure we would have beat the Lakers for title #18. LP at 75% would have been better than worthless SW at 100%. Go Cs…

Leon was pretty bad last season, though. He didn’t have any lift at all.

I think you choose between Baby and Leon and the Celtics made the right choice. Too many fans get emotionally involved with players and get all upset when they are traded, not retained or the player chooses to leave the team. Each player makes his own choice and the teams only allegiance is to the win column. Exceptions are occasionally made for players like Paul Pierce, who should not be traded, but those are rare.

The only point I would argue is that you could have kept both. Leon could have been kept for a minimum offer, instead of Shelden Williams.

True if he was healthy in the beginning of the season-but I guess they felt they needed a player. I was surprised to see Michael Sweetney listed on the Celtics roster again. Now he is an unstoppable offensive force around the basket–but at his weight I don’t know if he can play defense.

At his weight, I’m surprised he can even walk.

Shelden Williams was not kept game ready–if anyone is too blame it is Doc. He was a resource that was not maintained. When he played regularly he played well. To expect him to do well in the finals after being ignored with virtually no playing time in the later part of the regular season shows a complete lack of depth.

A lack of depth that the Celtics won’t have this season. YESSSIIIRRR!
