Shaq getting sued for computer hacking and destruction of evidence?

Shaq might be in a serious pile of shit. Radar Online reports that the Diesel is being sued by a former employee of his, Shawn Darling, for computer hacking and destruction of evidence.

Here are some of the explosive allegations:

  • Shaq hacked into the voicemails and phone systems of Darling and Vanessa Lopez, a mistress who is currently suing O’Neal. He deleted Lopez’s messages and changed her password.
  • O’Neal used his law enforcement contacts, both active and retired, to obtain restricted information about one of his mistresses, Alexis Miller, while he was involved in a legal battle with her.
  • Shaq threw a personal computer holding much of this evidence in the lake behind his home.
  • Shaq conspired with active law enforcement as well as ex-members of law enforcement to frame Darling for a criminal offense and destroy any evidence that Darling might have against O’Neal.

Darling says there is proof in the form of emails, text messages and photos that Shaq had multiple affairs while married and tried to keep that information from going public.

My favorite part of the lawsuit? “Darling claims Shaq sent him threatening messages, tried to break into his voicemail and enlisted the help of an active Arizona detective to master a computer program that would allegedly allow him to frame Darling for possession of child pornography so that Shaq could confiscate the computer holding evidence of his affair with Lopez.”

I’m no legal expert, but I have to scream bullshit on this lawsuit. Not only does Darling have “an extensive criminal background,” but his child pornography story makes no sense. Would Shaq really hire someone to “master a computer program” that would frame someone for possession of child pornography? And then, if someone was really framed for child pornography, would Shaq then be the one to confiscate the computer? Child please. That doesn’t even make sense. Real cops would confiscate the computer, not fake cops like Shaq.

Still, even if I’m right and this lawsuit is bullshit, it’s also a distraction for Shaq. One that he doesn’t need as he prepares for the season.

P.S. – Just a guess, but it will probably be tough to prove that Shaq threw a computer into a lake.

When I tried to frame someone for possession of child porn, all I did was go on their computer and download some.
