Highlight Reel: Nate Robinson’s almost-oop
When Doc Rivers says Nate Robinson is starting to “get” Celtics basketball, plays like these are what he means. Robinson hustled after a loose ball he had no business getting, outleted the ball to the open man ahead of him, sprinted up the floor, and — wouldn’t you know it — good things happened. Robinson didn’t end the play with an emphatic dunk, but two free throws will do just fine thankyouverymuch.
Robinson has improved his all-around game to the point that I’m even excited about his defense. With Robinson, Delonte West and Rajon Rondo pressuring the ball all game, other teams should have trouble breathing, never mind executing their offenses.
After the jump, Jason Terry sprouts wings.
Every once in a while, Jason Terry takes flight and makes you remember that he’s got a little Flubber in his shoes. Still, I can’t imagine there are many things in life more embarrassing than getting crammed on by JET. Keith Bogans, meet shame.
