Highlight Reel: Introducing Andre Drummond, the country’s best high schooler
Andre Drummond is a 6’10″, 251-pound center who started his junior year in high school a month ago. Wait, that monster’s only a junior? Holy S#!$!
The first strength in Drummond’s NBADraft.net profile is telling: it merely says ”Man child.” One of his few weakness is also telling: “He’s so naturally gifted, that he can be a solid pro without putting much work in. Does he have the hunger to be great is the big question.” Any time a player’s weakness starts with “he’s so naturally gifted,” that player’s good. In Drummond’s case, scary good.
He’s just your average high school junior who happens to mix Dwight Howard’s strength with Kevin Garnett’s length and also has the handles to dribble around the back, full speed, on a fast break. Some players have the potential to be stars. Drummond has the potential to revolutionize the game.
