According to the Boston Herald, Rajon Rondo will play in tonight’s game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. He has been bothered by a minor case of plantar fasciitis (what’s that, you ask? Click here), but felt fine after today’s shootaround (according to Doc Rivers).
Despite traveling with the team (a good sign), Shaq will miss tonight’s game (a bad sign). Are bruises always that tough to recover from? (Hint: no.)
P.S. – Is anybody else down with the following plan? Play Rondo until Delonte West returns, then let Rondo rest for a week or two. Plantar fasciitis is a nagging injury that can harm players for entire seasons. Why not give him some rest and let him recover?
