Avery Bradley could make NBA debut tomorrow

Avery Bradley practiced today, for the second straight day, and could play tomorrow night against the Washington Wizards. Though Ray Allen mentioned that Bradley might still be favoring his ankle, Doc Rivers said the rookie could play tomorrow night. (ESPN Boston)
“He’s close as far as his speed, but I don’t know if he’s close as far as his knowledge — as far as what we’re doing and what he should do in an NBA game. But listen, he may get activated because we need another body. I wouldn’t be afraid to put him in there in certain situations.”
The sprained ankle that will never recover might finally be recovered. Also, my brother’s take on Doc’s quote: “In certain situations… like if we’re up by 35.”
In other news from practice, Rivers said there was plenty of slippage on the road trip. The team spent a good portion of practice working on defensive fundamentals. James, I know you’ll love to hear that.

He’s their #1 draft pick. Welcome to the Celtics and the season, Avery. I hope Doc starts playing the young guys more but it might take that 35 pt lead with his disdain for playing rookies. To bad as I believe the young players can help, learn and then be of value when needed. Go Cs…

Let him play at the end of each quarter if we have a lead or foul problems. Just to get him use to playing. Find out what he brings to the table. I rember Reggie Lewis bless him. he was the only one who could guard Jordan one on one. jordan would try to use sweeping push off move on the small guards. But he could never do it to reggie. The Celtics made him ride the bench to much in the Bird era.
