Rajon Rondo named to Eastern Conference All-Star team

The rest of the reserves have yet to be announced, so we’ll have to wait to see if Ray Allen, Paul Pierce and/or Kevin Garnett make the team. And for anyone who thinks Allen doesn’t deserve to make the team, I submit this: You’re crazy. He’s had his best year as a Celtic, for the best team in the Eastern Conference. Even if he’s the fourth Celtic named as a reserve (only two teams have sent four All-Stars since 1983), Allen deserves it. Period. I would go into his shooting stats, and his efficiency stats, and all that jazz. But I’ll just say this, instead: This is Ray Allen we’re talking about, and he’s posting the best shooting season of his entire career.
