Rondo talks with TNT crew

When the TNT crew asked Rajon Rondo what he does better than any other PG in the NBA, I definitely didn’t expect the answer “play-calling.” But, when I think about it, there might be no better answer. Play-calling means managing the game. It means finding the player with the hot hand. It means knowing the defense you’re playing against. It means capitalizing when your teammate has a mismatch. It means understanding when one of your teammates hasn’t had a shot in a while, and needs to get involved. It means displaying intelligence at all times.

Quite frankly, “play-calling” is being a point guard. And, in that sense, play-calling is exactly what Rajon Rondo does. It helps that he’s as fast as a cheetah and possess yo-yo handles, but when it comes down to it Rondo succeeds because he’s the Celtics’ Albert Einstein.

I can’t believe it. Four players on the same team make the All Star Squad. I’m not too sure KG or Ray Allen belong there. I mean there are players like Carlos Boozer, Josh Smith that wouyld make better selections.

Ya, Ray Allen is only shooting the best %s of his career, and on damn near the “holy grail of SGs” with 40-50-90.

And Garnett doesn’t have nearly 2 Win share rating higher than boozer. Clearly they don’t deserve it… Bah.

Even with the age difference no one would trade KG for Boozer or Josh Smith straight up. There is no doubt that the Celtics would be a significantly lesser team with Boozer or Smith instead of KG. Ray Allen is a 2 guard is there an Eastern 2 guard having a better year than Ray? KG and Ray were voted on by the Coaches I believe they know what they are talking about more than the popularity vote for the starters.

I’d probably put Boozer on the team over Bosch.
