Kendrick Perkins: “I tell my wife that I just can’t picture myself anywhere but Boston”

After Sunday’s game against the Orlando Magic, Kendrick Perkins said he can’t envision himself playing anywhere but Boston.

“I really can’t, you know,” Perkins said. “I think about this every day. I tell my wife that I just can’t picture myself anywhere but Boston.”

“Obviously, I want to be here,” added Perkins. “But I’m just trying to finish this season healthy, just trying to finish this season strong. Then, whatever happens, happens.”

Perkins continued, “You have to play. You can’t worry about anything else — what your stats look like, or your money, or whatever it is. I just have to go out there and hoop free, and I think you do better when you do stuff like that.”

Perkins and his agent, Arn Tellem, reportedly already turned down a contract extension that would have netted Perkins slightly less than $30 million over four years. If and when Perkins hits free agency, the Miami Heat will reportedly be interested. But Perk likes it just where he is.

Perkins has convinced me. Defense and rebounding – he is Celtics ball.
