Report: Celtics close to trading Nate Robinson

According to Gary Washburn, the Celtics are close to a deal that would send Nate Robinson elsewhere. Where, exactly, has yet to be disclosed.

The deal is unlikely to include Cleveland’s Anthony Parker, because the salaries don’t match up (unless the Cavs include another player, which would force the Celtics — who already have an NBA-max 15 players — to cut someone). More to come as the details come into focus.

I think I need to throw up now. I hate to see Nate go, but I can at least understand that. But Perk? For a guy who barely rebounds? Ok maybe I need to know more about Green, but at this point, the only sense this makes to me is that maybe more offensive firepower up front will help us a lot.

But mainly, this strikes me as someone’s cracked-brain last minute inspiration, fueled by too much coffee, not enough sleep and sheer panic.

I like this trade. KP has knee problems and was a weak offensive player. We get the same rebounding (career averages) and 3 yrs younger and another 7 footer who can play. See ya Nate. Go Cs….

After I digested this I as ok with it. Greene was in my eyesthe thunders third best player can shoot and defend. Nena is ok. Perkins defense is only needed against the lakers who we already beet without him. We got a good forward that is what the celtics needed. I love Perkins one of the best role players in the league but that is it he is a role player. We wont need him against he heat and we already have shaq. Go c’s.

P.S. How did we not get Shane he was tradedaway for so little.

I like this trade. KP has knee problems and was a weak offensive player. We get the same rebounding and youth and more energy. Solid moves by Ainge.
