Celtics will sign Sasha Pavlovic

The Celtics will sign Sasha Pavlovic, according to the Boston Herald. Earlier this season, Pavlovic played four games for the New Orleans Hornets  and ten games for the Dallas Mavericks. As usual, he was generally awful.

Woosah, woosah.

Okay, this signing isn’t really that bad. You know, as long as Pavlovic never has to play a single second for the Celtics (which, hopefully, he won’t). I understand Pavlovic is just injury insurance. But if he — by some monstrosity — is ever forced into minutes, just realize that’s bad. Very bad.

P.S. – Can you tell me again why the C’s traded away Semih Erden and Luke Harangody for a second-round pick? So they could use one of the extra roster spots to add Sasha Pavlovic? Alrighty, then. I can’t speak for everyone, but I’d certainly rather hold onto a seven-footer with potential than sign Sasha freaking Pavlovic.

He will be our championship run equivalent of Adam Morrison

I always thought signing cack guys like this kills championships though. Basketball Gods don’t like scrubs winning rings! Guys like Mikki Moore are a perfect example for me (although I know KG not being there also helped!).

Soooooo like Brian Scalabrine wasn’t available? Cuz at least Scal had SOME game. And by some game I mean that he could actually like pass or hit A shot in A game. This worthless POS can’t even do that.

Sasha Dirtybitch should be his name. God Danny, I cannot believe you’d waste a roster spot for this piece of crap, who may just be worse than Luke Walton…
Is that why you’re signing this guy? To match up with Luke Walton? Because if it is then I’d say we lose even that matchup.

The only benefit to our worst player will be that he will be paid much less than Walton. That is the only thing of solace.
However the simple reason that you did not sign ME yes ME, and I am 100% completely without a doubt CERTAIN, beyond the shadow of a doubt, that I am a better basketball player than Pavlovic, is aphauling. Couldn’t you have like rented a monkey from the zoo with that money or something? I’m pretty sure the monkey could give you what this loser can. This guy makes Jason Kapono look like Lebron James.

I guarantee that this is the absolute WORST roster move you will make in your GM career DA.

Danny must be coming down with Khan syndrome or something. There is NO FREAKING WAY that Luke Harangoddy gave you less than this fool. I am LIVID! You couldn’t have kept Erden??? For this roster spot??? Mother F Danny!!!

Don’t be bagging on Luke Walton as he is a lot better than you give him credit for. His injuries have hurt the Lakers this season. I am not happy about this move and maybe if DA was smart its only a 10 day contract and he has to play his way onto the team. The garbage can is officially empty now. Go Cs…

    KKKKKKKKKKKKKKHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously though, we couldn’t take a chance on legged Kelenna Azubuike? Your trying to tell me Azubuike playing in a wheelchair is not better than Sasha Pavlovic! I just don’t believe that.

knowledge_base – I would have preferred him any day over Sasha. Even if injured he could rehab and be used next month or the month after or even next year. The kid is a major talent. Go Cs…

okay, at least we all agree on this one. James, you had reason to argue in favor of the Perk trade; at least there is a lot of material to argue over, with some valid points from both sides of the argument.

But WTF was Ainge thinking, getting rid of LH and SE? That one truly makes no sense. There weren’t any roster spots available that were that tempting. I’d rather have Chris Johnson than Sasha. Hell, I’d rather keep LH and SE instead of picking up Murhpy; he’s finished, as proven tonight. 6-11 and he can’t score beneath the basket.

So much for making trades to close out games. The starters had to finish tonight, and now we lost Big Baby who could have been resting on the bench if we could trust some of these new guys to maintain a 10 pt lead with under a minute to go.

GO AINGE, you are so fearless, OMG!

How about giving Murphy a chance to get up to speed? The SE/LH trade opened spots and the 2nd round pick may be good if the Cavs are still terrible in 2 yrs (2013). I like Murphy a whole lot better than SE or LH. You just have to let him get his legs and used to playing with his new teammates. Green and Murphy can take GD minutes if he is out long or to give him more time to heal depending on the severity of his injury. And if I remember correctly it was the starting 5 that gave back most of the 20 pts tonight. Go Cs…

The fact that Sasha Pavlovic makes a million-ish dollars to play basketball makes me think I can at some point get a real job in writing. So thanks, Sasha.

I don’t mind the buyouts. In fact, I think Murphy, at least, could possibly help us a lot. What I do mind is folks using the buyouts to justify The Trade.
