Please, not Sasha Pavlovic

http://twitter.com/ESPNForsberg/statuses/43067942144983040

Why not Sasha Pavlovic? Well, he hasn’t posted a PER better than 8.66 since 2006-’07, making him — during his best season of the past five years — approximately halfway as productive as an average player. He was the worst player in the entire NBA last year, according to win shares, and — despite being almost comically bad offensively — once said the sentence, “My defense is my offense.”

I think he meant to say, “My offense and defense are both offensive.”

Simply put, signing Sasha Pavlovic would send me into an angry tirade, and would make me wonder why the Celtics didn’t just sign any of 45 D-Leaguers better than Pavlovic. So please, Danny Ainge. Stay away from Sasha.

Forget these guys and get Deshwan Sims up from Maine. The Cs are already 12 deep with SO & JO and can still use the CJ ten-day slot if needed. You can only suit up 12 so why not have Sims learn on the job and fill in until JO is back? Glad we didn’t get Brewer, too. Go Cs…

I saw Sims play a couple times in the D-League (and this summer with the C’s) and he struck me more as more of an undersized power forward than a three. Do you know whether he can play the three at all?

What about Stephan Lasme if we’re going to get a defender??? Or did he go to someone else?

Lasme hasn’t played all season, if I’m not mistaken. He underwent surgery to repair a stress fracture in his left foot halfway through November.

As for Thornton, he already agreed to play for the Warriors. And Kapono did not get bought out.

But please, for the love of God: not Sasha Pavlovic.
