We rebounded in this game too. I wasn’t sure if we would win the rebounding battle or not. After an ugly first half, the Celtics pulled it off. Go C’s

Whew! C’s pulled out a bit of a miracle tonight. Ray-Ray is definite MVP but Jermaine O Neal is a big reason why they won tonight. Dare we say he looks healthy?

Rebounding, YES! The Knicks may not be a great rebounding team, but at least the C’s won the board game.

Am I being too critical of Rondo or simply expecting too much, but I thought he hurt them a lot tonight in varoius ways, like the two thrown away passes in the final quarter (trying to hit people downcourt). His stats are good, but until he gets a jump shot, he’s never going to be a real force.

I’ll take the win, and hope they play a better second quarter next game. If they want it, they will get it.

    GO C’S

Apparently, they do know where the switch is and still know how to flip it. Great rebounding (finally and even from Ray!) but need to defend the 3 line better. Excellent wake-up call and now the bench needs to show up next game. JO was awesome. Go Cs…

Rondo was the key guy in this game. He virtually owned the third quarter, which was the key quarter.

@Chris-yes Rondo may some bad passes but he was playing with passion and overall he had a good game. He was keeping the C’s in the game with his scoring in the first half.

Rondo’s first half was disappointing. He scored but didn’t assist as well as we need. His second half was better, and in the third, he was very active, with assists and rebounds. He also made the clutch alley-oop pass to Garnett. If he continues to play the way he did in the second half, we’ll win this series easily.

All this shit about rondo is stupid the celtics won they turned away from the usual lifeless zombies they are and played good basketball. Paul hit some tough shots late JO played great and Ray Ray hit a dagger. Im sure the Rondo and the gang will look at footage and learn form their mistakes

only 15 more wins until banner 18!

There seem to be a lot of complaints about Rondo turnovers. We need Rondo to play aggressive. Period. And if he plays aggressive, there are going to be turnovers. The same guy who threw it away on the break threw the perfect alleyoop to Garnett – two points and no time off the clock. That was genius.

Jermaine and Ray get Co-MVP honors for that game. JO had a few timely buckets, and defensive stops. Wether it was a block or just forcing the miss. Ray had a big second half and of course that last 3 that slammed the door.
Chauncey got hurt too. Maybe he’ll miss some games?

If anything we need Rondo to be more aggressive, and to push the pace more. Sometimes I think he and Doc get a little confused about controlling the pace. Walking the ball up and then standing around is not controlling the pace.

Paul, true, but the C’s greatest strength is also their greatest weakness: they are best on offense following a defensive stop, which means that when the other team is scoring, the C’s freeze up. Everything starts on the defensive end for them.

Their half court offense is often stagnant.

I’ll take the win. GO C’S
