Chauncey Billups questionable for Game Two

During the fourth quarter of last night’s contest, Chauncey Billups strained his knee/quad and needed to leave the game. He did not return, and his status for Tuesday’s Game Two is in jeopardy. (NESN)
“I just went to the basket and took off on my leg,” Billups said after Sunday night’s 87-85 loss at the TD Garden. “The doctors said it’s a strain in my knee, my quad, the muscle that extends into my knee. It’s just a strain. We’ll check it out tomorrow. Hopefully I can get back as soon as possible.”
“I really don’t have a clue [if I'll play],” said Billups. ” I’m in a lot of pain right now. If I can get out there and help, I’ll be out there. We’ll just have to see.”
Though Billups could not guarantee he would play, his teammate Carmelo Anthony expects him to be ready.
“I saw him limping in the locker room, but he said he was cool,” Anthony said. “We’ll see. We’ve got a day off tomorrow. It’s playoff time. I’m pretty sure he’ll be ready come next game.”
