Celtics-Heat playoff schedule
In my dream last night, Shaq returned to Boston’s lineup in Game One of the Celtics-Heat series. . . and hit a 27-foot, Gary Neal-esque three-pointer during the fourth quarter. For what it’s worth. Anyway. . .
The Celtics will officially play the Miami Heat this weekend, starting Sunday. The full series schedule follows, and a nice series preview, written by Paul Flannery, can be found here.
Game 1: Sun., May 1, Boston at Miami, 3:30 p.m. (ABC)
Game 2: Tues., May 3, Boston at Miami, TBD (TNT)
Game 3: Sat., May 7, Miami at Boston, 8 p.m. (ABC)
Game 4: Mon., May 9, Miami at Boston, TBD (TNT)
Game 5*: Wed., May 11, Boston at Miami, TBD (TNT)
Game 6*: Fri., May 13, Miami at Boston, TBD (ESPN)
Game 7*: Mon., May 16, Boston at Miami, 8 p.m. (TNT)
The Heat finished off breakfast, but here’s hoping lunch never comes.

More exciting than a Shaq return, exciting as that would be, is the possibility of Green and Davis rising to the occasion.
Still, one commentator said that the Heat starters are so strong that the Celtics can’t rely on the starters to carry them. Really? Well, that’s exactly what we MUST rely on. The Big Four must carry us to a title. But Jermaine staying healthy and motivated and the bench picking it up, well that would help a lot.

Saw this at RedsArmy, possibly the best article I’ve seen on the coming series, on what the Cs need to do to win:
http://www.bostonherald.com/sports/basketball/celtics/view/2011_0428cs_engine_in_tune_efficiency_the_key_as_second_round_looms/
““The ball movement, the simplicity of it, is really important, and that’s with Rondo handling the ball, but it’s also with everyone touching the ball and moving the ball,” he said. “I just like the fact in the last two games that it was simple and it was nice.””
Movement, energy, unselfish play, Rondo not playing Cross Four in his head – we are unstoppable when we play Celtics ball. When we don’t play Cs ball … think about the game four meltdown on Sunday, and imagine it’s the Heat tearing the Celtics to pieces, not the (injury ridden) Knicks. Think about 1987 and LA running the Celtics off the floor, making them look very, very old all of a sudden. That’s what we are in for if the Celtics forget about Celtics basketball.

Pure and simple; win the rebounding and the series will be over in 6 games. I’m being generous, as the Heat have a great starting 5 and only a weak and mediocre bench. Guard the 3-line, stop all the unnecessary double-teaming and hit the boards, especially the offensive one. We will now see the Cs team that we all knows exists and showed flashes of (brilliantly) in the NY series. This is what RR and the boys live for, not the regular season games. This is a mini-championship, as I believe the Cs fear the Heat more than the Bulls. And Doc, please use the bench more. Going to be great. Go Cs….

Oh Lunch is coming …. the only question is whether Lebron can polish off four burritos. Remember, 2.5 slices into the 2010 Eastern Semis and was was passed out on the couch.

This series is going to six or seven whoever wins it. I also believe that the winner of this series will win the East and probably the championship.
Go Celtics
