Celtics still sound confident
Faced with the first 3-1 series deficit of the Big Three era, the Boston Celtics are showing no fear.
Doc Rivers is looking forward to his team’s response. The Celtics have pride, he mentioned multiple times, and he looks forward to seeing that pride put to the test tonight. The team watched a film session and the players were disappointed by their play. But the mistakes, they believe, were correctable—turnovers, botched execution, missed bunnies.
“Everyone was just agitated with how they played, how they performed, and how they executed,” Rivers told ESPN Boston. “And they should be.”
But they can also play better, and that’s something Rivers expects.
“They have great pride and I think you’ll see that,” he said. “I think I’ll enjoy the way we play.”
Rivers has faith, but do the players think their time has come?
“Nothing about trying to win a champ. is going to be easy,” said Paul Pierce. “We know it’s a daunting task but it’s something I know we’re capable of.”

Rondo has to rise, and KG has to beat Bosh. And that has to happen three times in a row. That looks like a tall order right now.
The other side of the coin, as far as I am concerned, is that, as hopeless as things look, I think we ARE fully capable of beating the Heat and advancing. We have to match and surpass the Heat’s determination. I’d love to see it, because the Heat have some karma coming. If you have to win by taking down your opponent’s best player, like Wade did to Rondo, you do not deserve to win. I believe that the Heat will be taught that lesson in these playoffs, and no team is more qualified to do it than the Celtics.

Here’s Bynum doing what Wade should have done: apologizing.
