Game Thread: Bulls-Heat

Lebron James is happy Cleveland got the first pick, but isn’t positive they’ll find a franchise player. Dan Gilbert’s just as vindictive as ever; he hopes Lebron goes down in a sea of flames in round two. Derrick Rose and Tom Thibodeau look like a more formidable duo than LeWyane Jade. And Dwyane Wade’s son can’t stop teasing his father about Taj Gibson’s dunk. It’s Chicago-Miami, Game 2.

I’ve got the Heat tonight, even after they looked completely overmatched in Game 1. Tough to stop a two-headed monster two games in a row.

Have at it in the comment section, folks.

I don’t want to see a team that gets ahead by deliberately taking down their opposition’s best player win.

but yeah, tough to beat the Heat two games in a row.

And after Dirk kicked my fan *** last night, i’m not feeling very confident about who I’m rooting for.

    GO BULLS!

    Have at it.
Go Bulls…. Everyone here should be saying that. Even if they think that Miami will win.

I just don’t even care who wins at this point. I kind of want Dirk to win. He deserves it more than anyone left.

Why does Dirk deserve it more than Durant or Rose? I can see if your argument is that he is older, so he doesn’t have many chances yet, but otherwise, all these guys, apart from the Heat, have a strong claim on deserving it.

And I’d like to see Dirk score 48 points when the opposing team is allowed to actually play defense on him.

Nick, i’m so sick of arguing about Perkins. I give up. Everybody wants to scapegoat the players and that’s all that matters to them. So let them do their scapegoating. It’s despicable, but it’s what they feel they need to do.

Anything rather than blame the guy who took the crazy gamble. No, Danny must be protected.

If it isn’t Perk their hating on, it’s Baby. And Rondo. Notice how everyone wants to trade Rondo now?

I’m sick of how hateful to their own players Celtic ‘fans’ are.

Jay, I was talking about the game, not the championship. I want to see OKC win it all, because I’m a big KD fan. But Dirk and Kidd deserve it. Kidd should go out on top. And Dirk is a great player. Hell, I believe he is the he’s European player ever to play in the NBA. But Rose had a great season, worked hard and all.
Miami doesn’t deserve it. Aside from them axing the C’s, they’re cocky, arrogant, and… Okay I’m being bias, but most NBA fans probabally wouldn’t want to see them win either.

Nick… thanks. We’re just fanatical Celtics fans and just want what’s best to get banners #18, #19, and #20 before 2020. At least that’s my goal, also to actually visit the Garden for some championship games (did so in LA several times including Isiah’s 45 pt game with the phantom Laimbeer foul on Jabber – so f’in bogus it still riles me – hate the Lakers so much) and play some hoops with Jay, as it appears he’s letting himself go and as a 57 yr old still with an excellent eye and shooting range (and knowledge of how to play defense and rebound) it’d be fun to run a few games with him or go one-on-one. You can probably guess by my posts I also talk trash pretty damn good and more importantly, constantly! Go Cs…

James, you scapegoat Perkins constantly. And Jay and many other people scapegoat Baby. And a lot of people desperate to trade Rondo scapegoat him.

ANYTHING AT ALL rather than blame the MAN IN AUTHORITY.

    Obey and worship The Ainge.

The hatred for Baby really makes me sick. Baby held us together for much of this year, filling in wherever needed, and tying the bench and the starters together.

Doc almost always had Baby finishing games. That ought to tell you something. I am truly, genuinely disgusted by the hatred for Baby, Perkins and Rondo that have swept through the Celtics fandom like a forest fire. WE don’t deserve a winning team. We are a classless fandom. We deserve to lose. Why should a team that we don’t treat with respect win for us?

Nick…yep but seeing the Lakers celebrate winning the title and being there was’t really fun as a Celtic lifer. I lived in LA 13 years and even had Clipper season tix at one point to see the Bulls (Jordan), Celtics, Pistons, etc. Now that was fun as 3/4 of the arena was always fans of the visiting team. I need some Gah-den memories to balance everything out. Go Cs…

Don’t get me wrong. I know that Baby has a lot of problems as a player. I think he’s clearly delusional when he seems to think that he’s ready to be a top starter in the NBA. But he has been a VITAL player for us this year, and we owe him some respect, dammit.

Paul, you do understand that that’s how the world works right? That you could be the best, you could be Jordan for gods sake, but the second you make a mistake your criticized. Everyone forgets how great you were, they just focus on your mistakes. Take the Heat for example. When they had that great month(December?) everyone was talking about how great they were then when they had a faulty month(March?), everyone forgot that and couldn’t stop bitching about how they weregoing out In the firs round and stuff. Same thing applies to Baby. Make sense?

Nick…at one of those games I ran into Thomas “Hitman” Hearns the night after one of his fight wins in Vegas and we were face to face and his bodyguards were behind him as I turned into the concourse and Hearns was turning into the isle to get to his seats. So I reach out and shook his hand and congratulated him on his victory; all the while thinking I could punch him with my left but that I would then likely be pummeled by his bodyguards. Just a quirky thought that popped into my mind at that moment. Thank god I didn’t follow through. But yeah, the experience of being there is awesome and something you’ll never forget. I can’t wait to experience that in Boston. Go Cs…and I think I’ll pass and let paul continue his rant. It is pretty funny though.

Now that we’ve gotten rid of that scrub Perk, and as soon as we get rid of Baby, and trade Rondo for Chris Paul, and start Jeff Green over Paul Pierce, we’ll win a championship for sure. Oh, and now that we have Danny ‘s son coaching for us, that will take us right over the top.

If not, we can find some other players to sacrifice at the alter of Not Blaming Danny.

YOu put something new out there, Nick!

But I think The trade is something people will be discussing for a long time. It’s one of the most dramatic moves any team has ever made.

What is tiresome to me are the same old pointless and silly arguments. But what are ya gonna do? Danny keeps doubling down on his rationalizations, and all his worshippers pick them up and hype them. You’d think that the early exit from the playoffs would have settled things, but it turned out that Danny can do no wrong, even when he is clearly proven wrong.

But, man, the floor is yours. Throw a topic out there.

I’m not a fighter but I’m sure I would have been hurt pretty bad and Thomas likely would have seen it coming. What do you think he deserves? …and Nick, I was kidding about being it that video. Our seats were higher up as even back then scalpers were getting $300-$500 for loge seats. Go Cs…

My other thing about Rondo is that I think he should work on shots that, like his scoop shots, take advantage of the unusual body he has – the long arms and large hands – these aspects of his body may be a disadvantage as far as classical shooting is concerned, but on hook shots, they could help, and from the line, perhaps diaper shots ala Rick Barry – maybe that would be a very natural motion for Rondo.
