Report: NBA negotiations to continue next week

The NBA owners will meet the Players’ Association for another negotiation session at some point next week, reports Sports Illustrated’s Sam Amick. The session will likely take place on Wednesday or Thursday.
As was the case with Wednesday’s six-hour meeting in New York, next week’s session is expected to include only a small group of representatives and will likely take place on Wednesday or Thursday. It will be just the third meeting since the lockout began on July 1.
Though David Stern has denied reports that the league will cancel training camp if an agreement is not reached by Sept. 15, the NBA season is close to being jeopardized. Training camps are set to begin a month from tomorrow and the season is slated to begin less than a month from then.
The two sides will soon enter crunch time of their negotiations. Let’s hope they handle crunch time like Robert Horry, not Chris Webber.
