Two Boston Celtics preseason games cancelled by lockout

The NBA has officially postponed training camps and cancelled 43 preseason games. The Boston Celtics have already lost two preseason games, and will lose more if the lockout does not take a sharp turn toward a resolution in the coming days.
“The Celtics’ preseason games vs. Philadelphia on Oct. 10 in Providence and Oct. 15 vs. the Knicks in Albany have been canceled,” tweeted the Boston Globe’s Gary Washburn.
“We have regretfully reached the point on the calendar where we are not able to open training camps on time and need to cancel the first week of preseason games,” NBA Deputy Commissioner Adam Silver said in a statement. “We will make further decisions as warranted.”
