Chris Paul trade will come by Friday, three suitors believe
It’s reasonably safe to say the New Orleans Hornets will trade Chris Paul before this season. And by “reasonably safe,” I mean it’s okay to bet your car, house, first-born child, Dawson’s Creek limited edition DVDs, 14-year old Tamagotchi egg, Pogs collection and Jerome Moiso autograph.
Adrian Wojnarowski reports a number of teams believe the Hornets will make a deal by Friday, when training camp begins.
Three teams in pursuit of Paul believe the Hornets will push for final offers – and make a decision – by the start of training camp on Friday, front-office sources told Yahoo! Sports. The Clippers’ and Warriors’ packages are the most intriguing to New Orleans general manager Dell Demps, league sources said.
In two days, the Celtics could very well know which All-Star point guard they’ll begin the season with. Either way, they’ll enter a Christmas Day showdown against the New York Knicks in good hands.

It’s amazing to see, based on fan comments, how much of the Celtics fandom seems to have worked themselves up into a frenzy, where one wonders of being a True Celtic means anything to anyone anymore? I guess much of this fandom only knows the Big Three, and has no idea that one can build a team, and that loyalty actually is a two-way street, and not just something that players owe to teams.
The fan frenzy also appears to involve the confirmed belief that Rondo is a bad guy, and a weak player, definitely not the Cs future, while Chris Paul is The Answer, a perfect all around player, head and shoulders and torso above Rondo, and on top of all this, that he will love us forever and teach Dwight Howard to love us too.
In other words, the fandom has lost its mind.
