Boston Celtics reportedly satisfied with small forwards, not looking at James Posey
Perhaps Danny Ainge is looking for a shooting guard or a center, since the Celtics more or less don’t have a backup at either position. I’d still like Boston to pursue another small forward — read my post about the need for Marquis Daniels to remain healthy — but at this point Posey might not be as productive as Sasha Pavlovic (*dodges full beer thrown by Celtics fan*). And I consider Pavlovic one of the NBA’s worst small forwards.
There just aren’t a lot of quality players still available. Maybe Danny Ainge finds a diamond in the rough. Or maybe Boston enters the season with the depth chart the same as it was yesterday against the Toronto Raptors.

For some unknown reason Kris Humphries is still unsigned. The ex-kardashian is a stat beast and I have no idea why we haven’t pursued him other than price/cap-room but he will clearly be cheaper than his worth at this point.

I agree…we don’t need Posey. I prefer Bass and Wilcox and our rookie Johnson getting some valuable minutes and experience (not likely with Doc’s lame use of rookies). I think Humphries could be a good add, as his rebounding abilities could help. A really bold DA type move would be to figure out how to sign Samuel Dalembert who is also available. But overall, I think we have enough to win the title. Just have to stay healthy of course. Go Cs…
