0-3: Hornets 97, Celtics 78

I need to sleep on this one before writing about it. Not good.

No need to write much about this game. Nothing good, other than getting some chemistry together, is happening until PP is back. They need his ability to take over games with spacing improvement and then their confidence will improve. Cs had 4 rebs in Q4. That says it all. That’s not fatigue, that’s lack of hustle and effort. Nice to see Doc remember and use his bench more, which is exactly what he should be doing. I’d rather the bench get time and the young players get experience than see KG mail it in. It’s a long season and we’ll be OK, but how about some f’in coaching creativity Doc??? I love all the games in a row and condensed, but we suck right now and until the players get pissed nothing’s going to change. Go Cs…block out, please!

Yes, James, is this a rerun of last season already? A team that doesn’t rebound will never be a contender. Period. They didn’t show up tonight. That’s on Doc. Yes, I’d rather see the young guys hustle and play hard and get some minutes than see the veterans getting worn out in a waste of a loss.

Well, the season had only three bright spots after two games: Rondo was brilliant (though his opposing number was disturbingly brilliant too, but that looked like a gliche), the bench looked lively and the team had lots of heart. The bench still looks lively, but this has been revealed as a team with no heart, and what do you say about Rondo at this point? Everything he did well he stopped doing well, but his opposing number played EVEN BETTER. Wow. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a player go from MVP level play to shoudn’t-even-be-in-the-NBA level in just three games. I have no idea what to think about Rondo anymore. Really, I have no idea. I wish Rondo the best, but if he doesn’t want to be the Celtics leader, provocateur and aggressor, and he doesn’t want to play defense either, then what is left Rajon? Where do we go from here?

I have to say, I keep wondering about that elbow Rajon took from Melo. It looked to me like a possible concussion. I hope Rondo is getting appropriate care.
