Paul Pierce to Los Angeles Lakers trade rumor

The thought of Paul Pierce being traded to the Los Angeles Lakers turns my mind into Satan and my heart into a pit of sharks tearing away my inner flesh. But that’s the latest rumor. (Sam Amico of Fox Sports Ohio)
Also, the Lakers reportedly are trying to find a way to land Paul Pierce. Not sure yet, what they are willing to give up. But again, it won’t be an easy deal to make. The Celtics love him, obviously.
Of course, it’s probably more likely that Greg Stiemsma becomes the 2013 MVP and Metta World Peace gets elected President of the United States of America by virtue of write-in votes. If the Celtics traded Pierce, they would undoubtedly be looking to accrue young talent and assets. The Lakers have exactly no young talent to speak of, unless they’re (unfathomably) interested in doing this:

… or if a third team is interested in Pau Gasol and would send young players Boston’s way. Pierce being traded to the Lakers doesn’t seem likely, at all.
Thank God.

Now Pierce knows how Rondo felt…

No way I would trade Pierce for 33yr old Pau and I doubt LA would either.
The only asset they have is Bynum and he will only be moved for Howard.

Another lame and ridiculous rumor because Pierce grew up in LA. Lakers have nothing to trade except Bynum, which they will not do. Go Cs…next rumor please.

I say Pierce for Bynum and Rondo. That would put Gasol and center, and they would still need a bad-ass power forward.

I mean Bynum for Pierce and Rondo, although the Celtics would want both of those 1st rounds draft picks of the Lakers.

Are you smoking crack in that clay pipe of yours? I wouldn’t trade Rondo alone for Bynum, nor would I trade Pierce alone for Bynum. Bynum is always hurt and even when he’s healthy, he could not replace the loss of Pierce or Rondo.

PS, to everyone hitting the panic button right now, it’s still a long season ahead, and all that matters are two things: can the C’s make the playoffs, and can they get hot toward the end of the season to enter the playoffs. Pierce will get in better shape and find his game again. Ray Ray can play until he’s 50. Garnett has lost a definite step but can still contribute, especially on D. And if Rondo stays healthy, this team should be able to compete. Pietrus and Bass are great additions. And they’ve proven their “small” lineup can compete with speed, something Doc needs to experiment with more. So long as Ainge doesn’t panic, they should be given one more chance with the Big 3. Go C’s

PS again, is it just me, or have the C’s been rebounding better in recent games? I could only listen on radio here in Los Angeles, where the Clippers have taken the crown from the Lakers, though I don’t care much for either team.

So the Knicks should blow up their team as well because they are losing! Oh my goodness..

trying to get younger by getting another 31 year old. Ainge is always messing the team’s chemistry. If the team are losing so be it. I think I’m one of the few who believe that the Celtics will make the playoffs, then make a great run. If and only if Bass & Pietrus gets into the mix and get the Celtics system. Blowing up the team will not make sense. KG & Ray’s contract will expire next season, thus freeing up a $30M salary cap space, good enough to sign 2 All stars.
