Rajon Rondo reportedly named All-Star Game replacement for Joe Johnson

https://twitter.com/#!/SeanGrandePBP/status/172372651967389697

Ye shall be rewarded for chucking basketballs at a referee — and for being second in the NBA in assists, and for improving as a scorer, and for turning Chris Wilcox into a genuine interior threat (of sorts, at times). Well deserved and happy birthday, Mr. Rondo.

Confidence booster? Maybe this can help team chemistry somehow? Either way, good job Rondo.

RR certainly deserves a spot on the All Star list, but if it was me, I would refuse the offer. He is one of the two best pg’s in the league the last couple of years and has been snubbed. To hell with the all star game, it has become a joke for the last couple of years!

Plus this is a good opportunity for PP and RR to talk to each other and maybe even figure out how to balance the scoring load on the team.

Let’s add Doc to that equation too, unless he’s busy with non-Celtic things. Go Cs…

And you know this how? You criticize Doc as if coaching in the NBA is an average job…it’s honestly kind of sickening…but Paul it can work out that way. Who are you to say it won’t?

What the hell is your problem, Pal? I just said it would be great if it did work out that way.

No Paul, it’s just that you constantly defend rondo as of he’s a saint who can do no wrong on the basketball court when in fact he does have flaws. You constantly berate any and everyone who just so much as slightly analyzes Rondo’s game. Whenever someone points out something that Rondo can do better, you always act like there is some giant underlying conspiracy against him and honestly its sickening. I know you’re a frustrated fan, shit we all are…but you’re acting like Rondo shouldn’t get any blame whatsoever and that’s just plain backwards. And obnoxious.

Nothing in particular, it’s just that you constantly blame everything on Doc as if he’s supposed to not only coach but go out there and play too. I’m just saying its not fair because there is a lot of blame to go around.

Are you happy with Doc’s coaching? How about tonight and how he’s allowing the double teaming vs the best 3-pt shooting team in the league. why not not dbl team and guard everyone on the 3-line? Isn’t he supposed to get the players to execute the game plan? Isn’t he the one to emphasize rebounding? If so, he’s failed miserably. His rotations suck and he has no fire. Did you just hear Scott Brooks tell his players 3 times for “everyone rebound”??? Ever hear Doc say that in a huddle (I remember once in the last 2 yrs). We should have kept Thibodeau. Too bad we can’t trade Doc. He’s a lame coach. Sorry but it’s how I see it. Go Cs…

Rr needs to stay in front of his man and stop trying to always swat the ball away from a dribble penetration. Always forcing bigs to leave their man & help him out. Bigs always bailing rr out of trouble. He’s is a liability in many ways.

Trade Rondo, NOW, before it’s too late. Before he gets injured. OMG. Allstar? I’d prefer the NBA Finals.

Im a celtic fan but not a rr fan. Dont get me wrong, hes got the talent but hes very inconsistent. Great teams are always exploiting his weaknesses. He misses layups when he hears Lebrons or Wades footsteps on his ass. He allows dribble penetrations cuz he keeps trying to swat the ball from behind making the bigs step up too help
Out leaving their own man in the process. High turnovers by forcing passes that drive me insane.

Thibodeau has one ring as he was the architect of Boston’s defense that won in 2008. Why do you think Thibs got the Chicago job and their defense turned around? That’s a really weak defense and comment Grg. And of course in the Wired segment Doc is extolling the team to push it and that they’re going to have their run. PP still has only 1 reb and last I looked we’re getting schooled bad. Go Cs…
