Rajon Rondo humorously starts ‘Kendrick Perkins back to Celtics’ rumor

Honestly I’m tired of Perkins being treated like he was the best player Boston ever had. Get over yourselves please…he is a borderline below average center, who isn’t even the best center on his team right now. That said, he’d be a good fit in Boston right now.

Funny, because I haven’t seen anyone anywhere say such a thing about Perkins, or anything remotely like it.
Perkins is a hard working and smart guy (yes, he is smart), who – unlike just about any center today – does basic center stuff, or at least tries to. If we had him now, we’d be contenders. Not because he is so great. He’s pretty untalented. It’s that by trying to do the dirty work one can’t get anyone else to do, he makes everyone around him better.

Okay..maybe that’s why the Thunder are using Ibaka more and more and Perkins less and less?
Referring to the trade last year as The Trade..as if it’s some huge landmark in the universe…makes it seem “remotely like it”
And then saying “It’s too early for me to joke about this”
Like is he mourning somebody or something? No. We would be a better rebounding team yes, but we would be even WORSE on offense, which is our number one concern. He was always a liability on offense. And um, I’d say Perk isn’t even in the top ten centers in the league my friend. It’s okay, Perk was Rondo’s best friend, so protecting him is a given with you.

We’d be contenders if PP would average 6 rebs and the team stopped giving up a dozen + offensive rebounds every night. Of course, being healthy is an issue but you can’t be last in rebounding and expect to be a fast breaking team or control the boards so you get more shots than the opponent. Live by rebounding, die by not rebounding. It’s something each player can be better at because it’s not about talent but about heart, effort, and wanting the damn ball. Perk is not the answer. Go Cs…

No perkins was not a dwight howard or al jefferson he was a basic center like the old days rebounding and D. thats why i love the dude he was the meanest toughest guy with a dontfuck with me look to him. he could handle DH and big al and he was Rondos best friend (he threw him a Bday party) and whenever he got traded it messed up rondo. damn i miss perk
